SnapScanAI sends cleaned, structured versions of your documents to Gemini File Search so that search, filters, and extraction stay fast and accurate—even across thousands of files.

The raw images live in your connected storage (like Google Drive). Gemini works on indexed representations rather than modifying your originals.

Do my documents ever leave my phone or cloud accounts?

Your originals stay in your storage provider (Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, or Box). SnapScanAI never takes ownership of your raw documents.

For AI processing, we send only the data required to perform OCR, extraction, or search to the engines you explicitly enable. For local LLM chat, everything stays entirely on-device.

Will SnapScanAI work if I'm offline?

Yes. You can always capture new scans, organize folders, and chat with documents that are already indexed locally—even on airplane mode.

When you come back online, SnapScanAI syncs new scans to your cloud storage and updates Gemini File Search indexes in the background.
